As a result of newly passed laws in Hungary, the management of the Budapest State Theater and Film Academy was revoked and replaced without any of the employees being informed in advance. This case, which also resonated with the Hungarian media, caused strikes by students and teachers and culminated in the departure of some of them.
In this discussion, we want to present the current social and political situation in Hungary and thus other Central European countries. Together with the representatives of the FreeSZFE initiative, we want to open a dialogue on this important topic. Important not only because it raises international issues, but also because it resonates especially in the Czech / Central European environment. We want to draw attention to these problems, make them visible and perhaps even look for some solutions together.
