A statement about the current situation of the epidemic COVID-19

In response to today’s ordinance of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, the Security Council of the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno responded by abolishing full-time and combined study. All cultural, sporting and religious events over 100 people throughout the Czech Republic are also cancelled until further notice. The organizing team of the International Theater Festival SETKÁNÍ / ENCOUNTER follows the steps of the Rector of JAMU and continues to organize the festival within the given limits. If the existing government regulations are not revoked, the festival will be completely cancelled.
We analyze the crisis every day and try to adapt to the complete organization of the festival. More information about the festival will be published at the beginning of next week.
