About the school
Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography (YSITC) is the major higher education institution in the field of theater and film in Armenia. Four faculties of YSITC offer more than ten Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs, enrolling approximately 800 students in Yerevan and branches in three other cities of RA. YSITC gives a very important role to the internationalization of the educational system. It is a member of UNESCO international network of performing arts in higher education.The Institute collaborates with European higher education institutions and Art schools. We organize master classes of experienced foreign specialists. Conferences, seminars, round tables and meetings are held on a regular basis. YSITC students have the unique opportunity to regularly attend master-classes of world class maestros.
The City Noise
The performance is based on the work of the modern young playwright Dmitri Bogaslavski “The Points on the Time Axis “. The performance “The City Noise” highlights the changes in the destinies of people affected by disasters. What happens to an individual after such horrible disasters? The play was written on the basis of a photo of a father, standing in front of the memorial to the victims of the terrorist attack, taken place in the USA on September 11, 2011. The man’s son was killed in the attack, together with almost 3 000 people.
