Dramka First!* Inappropriate humour, wine only in large amounts, a closet full of sweaters from second-hand, getting goose-bumps every time you hear the Czech anthem, even when it´s performed only by a recorder and a triangle, Coffee with milk and without sugar, strawberries with whipped cream from a can, street theatre, and the national theatre as well. Encounter…
*Dramka = slang term for Theatre and Education Studies
Anežka Staňková (UPOL)
Student of the first year of theatre studies and historical sciences at Palacký University in Olomouc. In history as well as theatre, the thing that interests her the most are the intricate human destinies because what else does history and theatre consist of, if not life stories? She loves musicals and her dream is to see the West Side Story on Broadway.
Bára Erben (UPOL)
Film and theatre studies enrich and inspire Bára Erben not only in the operational department but also play a pivotal role in her life. She prefers to look at the world through a camera lens, which will perhaps never cease to fascinate her. She writes screenplays, articles for her website, and is interested in natural or quantum healing and the inner world. She tried walking on burning coal, a week-long stay in the dark, and a jump into the unknown directly captures her nature of a ram.
Dana Hlaváčová (DAMU)
More of a millennial than a Gen Z. Believer in the power of words, even though she knows they can’t depict everything. Eternally busy and doubtful student of the second year of KTK at DAMU. I prefer Audrey to Marylin, V60 to cappuccino, red wine to white, and when it comes to flowers – it’s either white roses or lilies. A lover of old books and paper, so logically she´s an auxiliary force in the archives as well. Eager to capture the flickering moment, Dana.
Dominika Horváthová (VŠMU)
I am a third-year student at the Theater Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. I love books, all kinds of art, two-legged or four-legged animals, vegetarian lasagna, and I won’t say no to a good, three-hour-long walk through all parts of the city. I am intolerant to lactose and that is why you will buy me a tasty vege-chocolate. Finally, in my theatrical study, I deal with the scenographic component of theatrical work. I even found out that I simply adore traditional puppet theatre, not more than two years ago. 🙂
Marie Klára Vonzino (SLU)
I am a student in the first year of Cultural Dramaturgy at the Silesian University in Opava. In addition to studying and theater, I like to focus on music, I am interested in psychology and mathematics. I consider myself quite a versatile person who loves to devour new knowledge, seizes opportunities, and values every experience.
Natálie Bulvasová (DAMU)
I´m a 21-year-old second-year student at the Department of Theory and Criticism at DAMU in Prague and I like drama. My favourite movie is Amadeus and I don’t mind opera at all. My second favourite movie is Hair, but apart from that, I generally don’t like musicals.
Dominika Dudášová (DAMU)
Before Dominika got into theatre criticism, she graduated in speech therapy at Comenius University in Bratislava. She doesn’t imagine the theatre as some decorated and pompous hall, which is why she devotes her time to the theatre for the handicapped and the therapeutic function of the theatre. She considers lifelong learning to be one of the most important values and therefore does not avoid study-stays abroad or lecturing workshops. You will win her heart with a quality cappuccino and books, but she won´t say no to you even if you invite her to a theatre.
Ondřej Komínek (JAMU)
My name is Ondra and I study Musical Acting. I like quite a lot of things, but there’s not enough room for me to write them all down, so I’ll just say that I like theatre. I’m one of those people who says they’re not posers. But sometimes, I just put on some Ariana Grande, buy a Pumpkin spice latte venti, and feel fine. Oh yeah, and when I graduate, I want to work as an actor – a musical actor.
Zdeňka Horváthová (DAMU)
Z as in responsible (zodpovědná), D as in trustworthy (důvěřivá), E as in energic (energická), Ň as in ?, K as in friendly (kamarádská), A as in ambitious (ambiciózní) (ripped off of a gifted pen with a name tag)
A second-year student of KTK at DAMU in Prague, 21 y.o.
Adam Nagy (VŠMU)
My name is Adam. I consider myself to be a theatre omnivore. The form and the genre are unimportant, as long as the product has an intriguing story to tell, I feel contempt and let myself be immersed in the play but if I had to choose I would say I prefer anything that´s related to motion theatre
Kateřina Szopová (SLU)
I love theatre because it presents a great opportunity to explore and innovate. Recently, however, I spend most of my time alone at home and had to research and explore myself, which indirectly resulted in increased consumption of coffee, tea, and wine. And so we can only hope that we “artists” will soon be released to the open public so that we can once again explore and cultivate our audience.
Klára Max Hauserová (DAMU)
Student of the third year of bachelor’s studies at the Department of Theory and Criticism at DAMU. You can see her articles on the websites of various Theatre newspapers (Loutkář or Hybris). She also writes and corrects Wikipedia articles in her spare time and dedicates a lot of attention to the slam poetry genre.
Zuzana Macourková (UPOL)
Zuzana Macourková was born in Prague. She loves wine and poetry. Maybe that is why she let herself be swayed by the Holy hill near Olomouc and is in her first-year studies at Palacký University.
Petronela (Ela) Brotková (VŠMU)
student of puppetry directing and dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava
a lover of the “opposite” arts: realism and the avant-garde respectively
I live for puppet theatre, writing, movies, fashion, and travelling
I am an untamed but a happy human being
Sára Poloučková (UPOL)
Just a girl raised in a small-town environment of Silesian Opava, chasing after her dreams in Moravian Metropoly called Olomouc. Her dream was to create rich scenery with acrobatic and musical decor and thus become the principal of the first nouveau cirque in her homeland. Theatre is what makes her heart throb. Not only does it provide her with very much needed inspiration, but it also gives her a taste of freedom which in these troubled times, she very much needs to keep a sane head.
Tereza Krejčová (SLU)
Tereza Krejčová is a student of Cultural Dramaturgy with a focus on Theater at the Silesian University. She also cooperates with The children’s theatre ensemble ZDividla in Ostrava.
Before deciding to pursue theatre, Tereza considered a medical career to be her viable option. She occasionally returns to this interest, for example, she is now lending a helping hand in a Covid centre, though she is quite adamant that art was the right decision for her.
Veronika Volejníková (JAMU)
My name is Veronika Volejníková. I study dramaturgy and in the future, I would like to delve into the genre of documentary theatre. My motto: Theater has a purpose! …and if not then it’s not theatre
